Nearby Attractions:  See an active volcano erupting at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, only a 40 minute drive south. Stroll through the world class Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden on rugged Onomea Bay, via the Old Scenic Highway, a 15 minute drive north.

Take a short hike at Akaka Falls Park on your way to quaint Honokaa Town and tour Waipio Valley by horseback or mule drawn carriage. Join the locals and boogie board or surf at one of the local surfing beaches.
We are ten minutes from historic Downtown Hilo with wonderful retail shops and restaurants. The bay front bustles with activities such as the Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, wonderful one of a kind restaurants and shops, the Lyman Museum, the Tsunami Museum, occasional concerts by the Hawaii County Band in the historic bandstand on the waterfront, and afternoon practice and races by the many outrigger canoe clubs.

Don't miss a drive down Banyan Drive to Liliokulani Park and Coconut Island for a stroll along the harbor and Rainbow Falls just five minutes above downtown.
We are located in Hilo in the Leleiwi neighborhood beach community which is home to numerous and diverse beach parks within one mile of shoreline. It's a place where anyone or everyone may show up since it is Hilo's favorite beach area.

Our guests can walk to many of these bathing and fishing grounds. After a busy day, many of us enjoy jumping in the cool lagoons across the street or taking a short walk to swim at Richardson's Beach.  Richardson's is East Hawaii's most popular beach, known for its black sand beach and array of tropical fish and sea turtles that can easily be viewed in the sheltered off shore reef. There are life guards on duty from 9:00AM-4:00PM daily.  We will help you plan interesting day trips and suggest close by restaurants and shopping so you can do and see more in comfort. We are convenently located from Hilo Airport, restaurants, shops, oldtown Hilo with the Farmers Market, and Queen Liliokulani Park.

Whale watching at no additional cost! Whale season (November - April), you can observe humpback whales and their new born young right off shore from our Hilo bed and breakfast from the comfort of a chair in the garden. Swim with turtles and colorful tropical fish all year long, at Hilo's favorite swimming beaches.  We provide snorkels and masks, beach chairs and towels.
